Going to Northern India July 2017 Can You Help Me?

Hi there. This is me, Liam Palmer.

I am committed to going to Northern India with World Challenge in June/July 2017 and…….

I’M EXCITED!

The problem is that it’s not free. It costs $7,950 (plus all the little extras like doctors fees etc!). Luckily for me, my sister Caitlin, was planning to go to Nicaragua last year and got sick (very unlucky for her!), and World Challenge were very kind in carrying over a portion of the funds. So if you made a donation towards Caitlin last year, this is being carried over.

I still have to raise $5,000 though! So I’ll be doing some odd jobs, selling raffle tickets, mowing lawns and anything else I can do to raise money. I have saved over $3,000 so far but need help to make it to my goal.

Donate via Givealittle

There are 12 of us going on the expedition and we will be gone for 4 weeks. We are going into the Himalayas, will be doing some community service to help a local school while there and hope to slip in a little fun time as well.

Making a Difference

We will carry out project work in a local village in Northern India, probably in Ladakh, Kashmir. This usually takes the form of maintenance work in schools, painting murals, fixing buildings or general odd jobs with plenty of opportunity for interaction with local villagers and children. This project will help to create a better learning environment for local students.

The expedition has a total price for the whole trip. The total price of $7,950 includes: flights from Nelson to India and return, all food and all accommodation, any guides we may need and any material needed for community projects.

I am committed to going and I will be doing my part to fundraise as much as I can. My goal is to raise as much as possible of the trip expenses through personal fundraising along with any work I can pick up. Any small donation you could give me would be so very much appreciated.

As mentioned above I need  to raise $5,000 there only needs to be 1,000 people like you to donate $5.

Please note that donations are setup through Give-a-little. Any money donated goes directly into my account with them and I can’t touch it for anything else. Donations are via credit card or direct deposit(NZ Banks) and the site is very secure and trusted.
